Siamak Goudarzi is an Iranian lawyer and founder of Open Iran Group. He formerly served in the Iranian judiciary before traveling to the UK to complete his PhD in Criminal Law. In this interview he talks about the negative consequences of economic sanctions, Iran's regional trade partners, Chinese involvement in Iran, and the opportunities for foreign investment.
Today I am speaking with Paul Wilson, the director general of the British-Iranian Chamber of Commerce. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or the Iran Nuclear Agreement, saw the lifting of British sanctions on Iran, however, with the US withdrawal in May 2018, the environment is complicated.
